Although I love beer, I do find that sometimes certain people take it all a bit too seriously. It is primarily a social drink, so there should be an element of fun to the scene. This can happen in a number of ways, such as a funny blurb on the can or a playful packaging design. I bought this beer in for the tasting not because I thought it would be the most amazing beer in the world, but for its rather unique bottle shape. I am happy to report though that the beer inside the great bottle wasn’t bad at all!

This lager was light golden in colour and looked incredibly crisp, with medium to low carbonation and a large head that capped an attractive view. It had a light yet sweet malt aroma, with some small apple, lemon and honey notes detected. This sweetness continued into the taste, with this easy to drink lager consisting of light malts and hints of straw and crackers upon swallowing. The aftertaste is (as you might have guessed) also light, but with small hints of honey left the mouth feeling refreshed and thirst quenched.

This beer was light in colour, aroma and taste, but that doesn’t make it bad. In fact, I found it to be refreshing and very easy to drink. I have a feeling this would be a great choice to pair with some spicy Asian food. It might not light the spark of imperial stout or massive juicy IPA lovers, but if you’re looking for a crisp lager, you could do a lot worse than this.
