So where do I start with this beer? When I first found it in Systembolaget back in May I thought it could either be terrible or amazing. After one sip I knew it was absolutely beautiful. I then bought 12 more and slowly drank them throughout 2019, saving some along the way for special occasions. I was thankful that I bought a few cans for the tasting as it was great to be able to share this with everyone that came that night.
This was light, crisp golden colour. The aroma was vibrant pineapple with a touch of coconut that was extremely enticing. This fruity pairing completely switched in the taste, with a load of coconut hitting the palate first followed by a juicy pineapple edge. The aftertaste was so easy and delicious, with a lovely pina colada feeling left in the mouth. It left you wanting another sip just to refresh all those gorgeous elements and for me, I was in love with every sip.
This was my favourite beer of 2019, no question. If you got to try it, count yourself lucky. I just hope that sometime in the future Evil Twin remake this so I can restock. Stunning.
