Some breweries love to say every detail of their beers, giving an overabundance of information. Others are a little more secretive, and Amundsen can definitely fall into that category sometimes. After extensive studying, I found little information about this beer. All I found was that it is made with a base of barley malt, oats, and wheat and includes added pineapple, mango, and passionfruit purée. Not much to go on at all however the proof, as they say, of the pudding is in the eating. When I tried this, I was incredibly happy indeed!

This poured with a cloudy saffron colour and was topped with a thick, bubble bath head that clung to the inside of the glass for a long time. There was a delightful passion fruit, vanilla and whipped cream aroma that smelt like a liquid cheesecake. The thick, sweet body gave massive notes of melted ice cream and mango when swallowed and it coated the throat completely. It clung to the tastes buds long after swallowing, with the sweet fruits leaving the mouth sticky.

This was a big sour, and I was extremely impressed. The fruit blend was delicious and made every sip a delight. This was also a firm favourite with the guests at the tasting, so if you get your chance to grab a can, I highly recommend it.
