Brewski is based in Helsingborg and was founded around 2014. They are well known for their mango themed beers along with distinctive can artwork. This was crafted in 2024 to celebrate Brewski’s 10th anniversary, intensifying their well known and loved Mangofeber DIPA. It’s been brewed with mango for flavour and Chinook and Citra hops for bitterness. I’ve always enjoyed the Brewski Mangofeber series, so would this one live up to its smaller brothers reputations? I would have to say only somewhat, unfortunately.
This was bright orange to honey in colour, with sediment noticed swirling around the glass. The head was quick to disappear, with a slight lacing holding around the inside of the glass. The aroma was fairly boozy, which is not unexpected with a triple IPA. This was balanced with prominent mango, moss and honey dew melon notes. Grapefruit peel, ripe mango and grass came through first in the taste, but the alcohol slowly crept up after swallowing, causing the throat to warm up while drying out the palate in the aftertaste.
This wasn’t the easiest TIPA that I’ve ever had, but I did enjoy it. The main problem was that the alcohol was slightly too high to be supported by the flavours of the beer and made it taste too boozy. It is still worth checking out though if you enjoy your mango beers, but if I had a choice, I would go for the single or double version of this beer instead.
